Is the possession by a spirit true?

I had a close encounter with a woman who, they said, is possessed by a spirit. The woman was much older than I because I was a teenager that time. I do not really know the woman and I only met her when I was curious about what was happening in their home. The woman's daughter was possessed. After about 5 minutes of talking with the woman, her body suddenly stiffened and she was speaking in a language that is alien to me. I stood up in fear and not knowing what to do.

The faith healer or shaman came to the rescue. He was threatening the spirit inside the woman. After a short while the woman gained consciousness. I don't know if I could believe or not believe. But it really happened, no doubt.
